More than 4000 IDF Soldiers Were Wounded In Action Since Oct. 7

STAND WITH ISRAEL’s SOLDIERS, SECURITY FORCES WOUNDED IN ACTION, and OCTOBER 7th terror survivors. Many are facing lifelong disabilities as the price for their heroic service.

The Jerusalem Institute of Justice (JIJ) leads the charge. JIJ lawyers have been able to take hundreds of cases of wounded soldiers, and war and terror victims fighting for their rights, helping them receive their benefits within Israeli bureaucracy. We send them to specialist doctors whose reports strengthen their claims, we accompany them during all administrative hearings within the Ministry of Defense, and we file appeals, pursuing their cases all the way to the Israeli Supreme Court.

Our only goal? To win their claims, and minimize the indignity of returning to hearings over and over again to prove the extent of their injuries.

WHAT WE DO

JIJ is the only Israeli organization that offers high-quality legal advocacy for soldiers completely free of charge. In all other cases, private lawyers take a percentage of a soldier’s financial benefits as their fee. We don’t take anything. They need every shekel for their recovery, rehabilitation, their families, and their future.

MEET TAL YAAKOV

Tal is 27, a student at the Holon Institute of Technology, and a reservist in the Armored Corps. He received his first injuries on October 8th, when he was shot in his right arm by Hamas terrorists. He received treatment at Soroka Hospital in Beersheva.

After the treatment, and with the bullet still in his arm, he went into Gaza to keep fighting with his battalion. Unfortunately he was wounded in action again, this time in his leg.

He’s now in recovery, but it’s clear that his injuries have removed him from the battlefield permanently, and will impact him for the rest of his life.
